We have a vibrant and active Women's Ministry here at Calvary Chapel Ontario with many women helping and serving under the direction of Pastor Paul's wife, Sue LeBoutillier. Our purpose is to inspire women to follow the Apostle Paul's exhortation to the Corinthians:
"...be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain." (1 Cor. 15:58)
Since we are all in different seasons of life, our 'work in the Lord' may be a little different from one woman to the next; and it may be a little different from one year to the next; but we know God gives us many opportunities to serve Him and we want to encourage one another to be faithful and to abound!
The core activity of our Women's Ministry is our Women of the Word Bible Study groups fashioned to help us not only study the Word of God individually, but come together in small groups to discuss the Word, share our lives to really know one another in the church body and pray with one another. These Bible Studies are active throughout most of the school year in four to eight week sessions that allow women the opportunity to jump into a group rather easily.
We have an annual fall weekend retreat in McCall, ID which is definitely a 'save-the-date' event for our women and their guests.
There is also an opportunity to get involved with our meals ministry which supports families in a very practical way when a new baby arrives or mom has a serious illness or surgery.
